When the body is stressed, we can go into what is known as the “fight or flight” response. The body shifts its energy resources toward fighting off a life threat, or fleeing from an enemy. The SNS signals the adrenal glands to release hormones called adrenalin (epinephrine) and cortisol. Long term stress places havoc with your bodies natural release of such hormones and we become unable to truly relax.

Akirayoga walks you step-by-step through each of the poses. Variations are offered to suit all body shapes and abilities. Instructions will allow you to settle into the practice without having to keep watching the screen. You can practice at your own pace in the comfort of your home and can come back to the practice as often as desired.
