Description

In this course you will learn about the Play Fit program and other projects completed during my occupational therapy doctoral capstone experience at The Peabody Institute. This Udemy course contains lectures and artifacts as well as downloadable resources for viewing for future information. This project began in the Fall of 2020 with a needs assessment and critically appraised topic on occupational therapy for musicians and developed into a capstone directly focused on research and program development with musician students. The sections in this presentation include lectures on an introduction to the capstone experience, a review of literature, a needs assessment, and information on my capstone site, artifacts I-IV, and a conclusion. All artifacts developed were created for The Peabody Institute to utilize in the future as well as for other interested in occupational therapy for the musician-student population. They include the following: Performing Arts Wellness and Health Programs at Other Higher Education Institutions; Occupational Therapy and Interventions for the Musician Population; Notes from the Johns Hopkins Rehabilitation Network Clinic for Performing Artists; A presentation on the Play Fit program rationale, design, planning, implementation, and analysis
