Description

My hope is that you will learn how to use class dojo to help you with improving your teaching practice and be able to quickly

  • Create avatars for each student by entering in their names
  • Quickly take attendance and update throughout the day if students are showing up, leaving early or coming in late. You can also screenshot the attendance visual and share with the admin staff who need this information.
  • Write anecdotal notes for students when you catch them making good choices
  • Create random groups of students for tasks and also separate certain students in the group making process
  • Display timers for certain activities such as silent reading, clean up time, or transition time
  • Display question prompts for think, pair and share or during your story time with the students
  • Display steps or procedures for the lesson and have it displayed throughout. Also a choice board of what to do when finished the learning task can be displayed and edited.
  • Create a jobs board and group students and it can be changed on a weekly, monthly or daily basis.

You can also follow along with the practice challenges that I will present in the videos and I will model the process as well.
