Description

Greetings, welcome to the online course of asana alignment and adjustments for yoga teachers. My name is Rafael Díaz and I’m happy to share with you this knowledge and techniques that will be a great add-on to your classes and thus you will be able to help your students in improving their practices. This course is divided into two sections.

The first provides an in-depth theoretical background of asana, showcasing details of alignment, variations, benefits and contraindications of over 90 postures. The next section is the practical demonstration of adjustments using hands and belts. For this we will follow the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence. These same adjustments can be applied to any asana style you may teach. As always, practice is of utmost importance, you should meet with a student or fellow teacher to practice these adjustments. There are countless different body types, and only with experience will you be able to adapt the postures and adjustments according to your student’s abilities, always respecting their limits to avoid any injury. This program is only a guide to give another tool to enhance your classes.
