Description

This is a short self-paced course that will teach you to read in Greek confidently. I created it for those who have just started learning Greek or intend to start learning it in the future.

It starts with a challenge, the goal of which is to demonstrate to you that you already CAN read in Greek, with some mistakes though. Then there is a video lesson devoted to the Greek alphabet, where we’ll analyze the alphabet comparing it to the English alphabet. This first video lesson is complemented with several resources created by me, such as a writing handbook that can be printed out and short videos for you to practise pronouncing and writing the letters. There is a video with numbers from 0 to 9 too (you’ll understand why you need it from the first lesson).

Next two video lessons are devoted to vowel and consonant letter combinations. There are not too many of them, which is why it is quite easy to learn to read in Greek fast. The fourth video lesson is about punctuation. You’ll find out another pleasant thing about reading in Greek (which was created actually by Ancient Greeks in order to help foreigners learn their language).

Lastly, there is a revision video lesson where I added more practice to the theory.

Enjoy the course! Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask them in the messages or on my social media.
