Welcome to the exciting world of project management! In this short and sharp, 20-minute introduction lecture, you will be introduced to what project management is, and the different the phases that make up a successful project. If you’re new to project management, this course will give you the knowledge to be able to understand about a project’s lifecycle and how a project works.
We will also briefly explore the various project management methodologies that are used today, from the traditional Waterfall approach to the more modern Agile methodology. You’ll gain an understanding of the principles of each methodology, and be able to recognize them is project management.
Workplaces all over the world are utilzing project management methodologies in their everyday practice. No longer just the domain of professional project managers, projects and project management methodologies are permeating all facets of our day-to-day operations. This introduction lecture is ideally suited for someone who has been asked to participate in a project but has no understanding of how project management works, or what a project manager does. This lecture will give you the ability to understand and navigate the project management landscape.
