Description
Meme Boham is an early years Montessori teacher. She has worked in the classroom and home for over 13 years. She has worked with hundreds of children in her career as an educator and seen them go through different phases.
She is has spent her career observing the children to understand them and how they learn. Understanding the children, their developmental needs, what their tantrums are really about and what they may be saying that they are not saying, is a good way to help adults learn to respond to the children. When we understand them, we can respond to them. It is possible to have a calm, understanding relationship with the children in your care while at the same time, supporting their learning.
Her goal is to make learning fun and enjoyable for young children and to educate parents and teachers on the best ways to respond to their needs.
Over the last 13 plus years, I have observed young children and studied different techniques and methods to respond to them. From research and observation, I have been able to support children in different areas from behaviour to their learning and I hope some of the knowledge shared will help parents and teachers on their individual journeys.
I believe that understanding how children learn can help us to present the learning in a way the child will understand, enjoy and prepare them to become a life long learner.
On this course I will be sharing the things I have observed about children and the things I have observed about adults. I will be explaining how best we can support ourselves in order to support the children in our care.
