Description
This course was created for my Doctoral Capstone Project in school based occupational therapy. The course covers information regarding my doctoral capstone project that focused on promoting social emotional learning within a school environment. The course includes topics such as my learning objectives, needs assessment, review of updated literature, frame of reference, site overview and information, and my artifacts that were completed while on the experience. Prior to my experience at Central Rivers Area Educational Agency (AEA), I completed a 12-week rotation in a school-based practice setting as well as completed comprehensive research into the area of mental health, well-being, and how this can affect students in a school environment as well as strategies that can be used with students to promote positive pro social behaviors. My hope is that this course will be utilized by school personnel and occupational therapists who work within a school-based setting to help promote social emotional learning with students in a classroom environment. My objectives for viewers when taking this course are to: Identify area of focus for project, Identify capstone site and information, Identify 3 artifacts, and Identify guiding approach used in capstone. If you are the viewer have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me via my email address that is provided in the presentation. Thank you again for watching!
