Description

Are you sick and tired of losing the battle against your urges to watch porn?

Have you recently had a relapse that resulted in a full-on porn binge?

Is your need to consume porn starting to spiral out of control?

Want to learn a super-simple strategy for quitting porn and masturbation?

Let me see if this sounds familiar:

You’re worried that porn is starting to take over your life because you really, REALLY want to stop. However, you feel unable to do so.

You know deep down that no good comes from watching porn. So, you promise yourself that enough-is-enough, that’s it, no more, you’re done with porn for good. But, a few days will go by, sometimes only a few hours, before you’ll mindlessly click from one porn clip after the next.

You’re starting to lose interest in having sex with a partner. Besides, you can only get aroused by fantasizing about your favorite porn scene before and during partnered sex.

Your porn viewing behaviors may have gotten more out of hand recently, such as nearly getting caught watching porn while at work or viewing progressively extreme videos to get the same release as less extreme clips in the past.

You’re increasingly using porn to cope with complicated feelings such as sadness, stress, boredom, and loneliness.

Let’s be honest; trying to quit porn without the right tools is so frustrating, maddening, and draining.

You’re Not alone!

In fact, a growing percentage of people realize that viewing porn is starting to take over their lives. As a result, they try to escape that vicious porn consumption cycle, but that’s when they run into their first problem.

More often than not, when you try to quit porn, you’ll often encounter a range of nasty withdrawal symptoms. For example:

  • Brain fog and easily distracted
  • Irritable, patients warn thin, lashing out at loved ones
  • Depleted will-power, lack of motivation, and can’t complete tasks
  • Low energy, fatigue, and/or struggle to get out of bed
  • Sexual performance issues such as Erectile Dysfunction and loss of sex drive.
  • Insomnia

What causes these withdrawal symptoms?

Bear with me here momentarily because I’ll get technical in answering that question.

Dopamine is a neural transmitter that is crucial in our reward-seeking behavior. For instance, do you know that little buzz you got the last time you ticked off a task on your to-do list or achieved a goal? Essentially, that little buzz resulted from a spike in your Dopamine levels.

But that’s not all; our brains naturally produce a spike in Dopamine for certain activities, such as anticipation of eating sugary foods, gaining status, and sex.

So, what does Dopamine have to do with quitting porn?

Put simply, when you watch porn, the Dopamine circuits in your brain light up brighter than a fireworks display. Why? Our caveman-like brain isn’t able to distinguish the difference between sex with a real-life partner and sex that we’re watching on a screen.

Therefore, watching porn over a long period results in your brain’s dopamine circuits being burnt out due to over-stimulation.

Think about it like this.

Suppose we had a brain-scanning machine that measured people’s Dopamine levels on a scale from one to ten (with one being low and ten being high).

Furthermore, let’s also say that the average person’s level of Dopamine is a five on that scale.

Now, if we were to scan the brain of a person who had been consuming porn, our brain scanner would start blaring sirens because their Dopamine levels would be at an 11.

In other words, the excessive Dopamine levels that result from exposure to porn over a prolonged period upon your brain is like watching a fizzing and sparking circuit board with too much current running through it.

Here’s the point.

When you try to quit porn, your Dopamine levels start to plummet. As a result, your brain throws a tantrum because it’s adapted to excessively high Dopamine levels. And so, it produces a range of gnarly withdrawal symptoms. Thus, your brain drives you back to porn to amp up your Dopamine levels to an 11.

The good news is that by the end of this course, you’ll gain a range of science-backed tools for resetting your Dopamine-levels. As a result, your porn-quitting efforts will become a natural outcome.
