Why take this course?

This course, Problems Passages in the Bible, Dr. Michael Heiser analyzes three difficult passages in Scripture. After introducing key issues in each text, it considers the background and context of the passages and then evaluates a variety of interpretations. Each unit includes the speaker’s understanding of the passage, as well as an explanation of its theological significance. The key themes students will explore in this course are the “gods of the nations” in Deuteronomy 32, “all things in common” in Acts 2, and the “baptism of the dead” in 1 Corinthians 15.
