Description

Welcome to High School Biology – Cell Growth and Division! In this course, we’ll learn about the cell cycle and all the factors that influence it. After taking biology courses for about 5 years now, I’ve realized that while biology is truly fascinating, it can also be incredibly intimidating. Biology is a really interesting topic, but it can be quite complicated, so in this course, I try to make the concepts as easy to understand as possible. In this course, we’ll cover the cell cycle, how cell size plays a factor, mitosis and meiosis (and their differences), how differentiation and stem cells work, and we’ll touch on cancer as well. The structure of the course is slideshows with me talking over and explaining the material. We also have some fun memes (or as fun as biology memes get) in each lecture, so you can look forward to that :). This should be a different experience than simply reading from a textbook, so I hope you enjoy. I hope to see you in the course!

This course is intended for anyone taking their first biology course, but it can also be helpful as a refresher for those wishing to review basic biology.
