What goes into a ‘typical job description’ for Corporate Wellness

Description

This is a course about Corporate Wellness. It was created in response from enquiries by students on a Business course as to what was required to have a career in Corporate Wellness.

This short course is therefore aimed at all who may be interested in working in ‘Corporate Wellness’ and are wondering:

  • What skills are required
  • What qualifications are needed

This is a short course and is delivered via Mind Maps. The reason for using Mind Maps is that students, ideally, follow them through (via the accompanying manual) and add on as they apply the course to their own situation. Skills and qualifications may vary slightly from country to country and the Mind Map approach facilitates adaptation of the course lectures.

The course starts by explaining what Corporate Wellness is and then we consider qualifications and skills. However this is not JUST for those seeking a career in Corporate Wellness but also anyone studying management. For example, we discuss ‘management’ but also refer to Fayol’s Classical Management (F,P,O,C,C,C) and briefly look at the work of Human Relations theory (Maslow).

It is important, before you enrol, that you see this course where the lectures are merely the starting point. There is a manual. There is a Q/A section for discussion – not just asking questions. There are also regular Educational Announcements.

A short case study is enclosed on Sri Lanka.
