This very short introduction offers insight into Sir Roger Scruton’s three main philosophies is based on a review of his massive output in books, journals, and lectures.
His actions to bring education behind the Iron Curtain belie the mild-mannered composer of operas and advocacy of rural living. His role in preserving Eastern European cultures has influenced politicians all over that region. His association with conservative philosophers influenced Margaret Thatcher during the 1980s. During the Brexit debate, Roger Scruton offered his analysis based on his legal training as a barrister.
