This course is designed to help students build their resume, training students on how to best present their academic, extracurricular, and professional accomplishments. The course also offers an online resume builder for students to build their resume during the course. After reviewing what the purpose of a resume is and why it’s important for students to have a strong resume, we will go into the components of a resume, what a good resume template looks like and includes, and what the best practices are of writing a good resume. We will review an example resume to see the best practices in action, before we go into an exercise for you to begin writing your resume. In order to conduct the exercise, we will use an online resume builder that helps students host and manage their own resumes.
