Description
The care you give yourself directly effects the impact you have on the world. When you are cared for you’re able to show up as a better parent, teacher, coworker, friend, partner, etc. In this course you will explore basic meditation, movement, breathwork, EFT Tapping, affirmations and MORE! Now more than ever we as humans are tired, stressed, overwhelmed and burnt out. These quick and easy tools show you just how EASY it is to practice self care during your morning commute, at the grocery store, in line at the bank, etc. Self Care doesn’t have to be another item on your never ending list of things to do. It can be part of your everyday life. Below is your Self Care Challenge Schedule:
Day 1: Gratitude
Gratitude is one of the most positively charged emotions. This video will help you cultivate a daily gratitude practice
Day 2: Affirmations
Positive affirmations are an excellent way to begin shifting our mindset to a more positive way of thinking and feeling
Day 3: Breathwork
Breathwork is an essential practice for calming not just the mind but also the central nervous system. Our nervous system is what controls our “fight or flight” response AKA anxiety. Breathwork helps restore balance not just in the mind but in the body as well
Day 4: Movement
Motion = Emotion, If you do the same thing you have always done, you will feel the same way you have always felt. Our bodies keep score. If there are mental and emotional issues that you are resisting dealing with they will manifest in the physical body as pain and illness. Allow yourself to process emotions in a healthy way by moving through them.
Day 5: Journaling
Journaling is an incredible practice for releasing unwanted thoughts and feelings. Some of these thoughts and feelings are stored in the subconscious mind and can control our entire lives without us even being aware of them. Because writing is directly linked to the subconscious mind, journaling is an AMAZING tool for bringing these things to the surface.
Day 6: EFT Tapping
Emotional Freedom Technique also called EFT or Tapping is a fusion of talk therapy and self acupressure. This tool combines eastern and western philosophies to effectively help individuals process through negative thoughts and emotions. Recent studies show that EFT is just as effective as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (a common type of talk therapy), in fewer sessions.
Day 7: Meditation
Meditation is a process of quiet inner reflection. It is an excellent tool for calming the mind to promote mental clarity, creative solutions and improved focus. Many people feel like they “can’t” meditate because of the busyness of the mind, this module provides quick and easy solutions to common concerns about meditation helping you become a master meditator in no time!
