Description
We have all been to terrible, boring presentations where some guy stands in front of a group and reads PowerPoint slide after PowerPoint slide to the audience while everyone tries to stay awake. Don’t be that guy. Learn to present effectively from someone who has taught for 17 years, taught more than a thousand people how to present information, has multiple advanced degrees in education, has published 23 textbooks, and who has worked with several global fortune 500 companies.
During this course, you will learn what Ed 1, 2, and 3 are and how knowing about them can help you decide when and how to present information. You will learn the 12 principles of multimedia learning to help you use text and images in ways that are proven to help your audience learn what youβre telling them. You will learn the basics of American copyright law and know how to find images, videos, music, and text legally and affordably.
By the end of the course, you will be able to assess presentation materials, decide if a presentation is actually even needed, and understand how to create a very effective presentation if you need one. Your audience (students, participants, coworkers) will pay attention, learn, and remember what you tell them.
Letβs get started!
