Description
Many drummers struggle with fills, especially when it comes to creating their own. We get asked frequently, ‘How do I come up with fills?’ or ‘How do I increase my creativity?’.
Although there are a lot of answers to this question, and there’s no single, concrete way, and in this course we’re going to show you one thing that has worked really well for us. This tool is called ‘fill elements’, meaning we’re going to isolate a really small phrase, apply it to a fill, and then show you how it could be used while improvising.
In this course, you will learn:
- What a fill element is.
- How to play a fill element called ‘falling down the stairs’.
- How to apply that element to a full fill.
- How to combine that full fill with a beat.
Additionally, we’ve added in several ‘practice sessions’ into this course. These practice session are meant to be play along videos, giving you a similar type of guidance to playing 1:1 with a live instructor.
Our philosophy is this: Learn the exercises by watching, get on your kit, play along, and move up in speed. Repetitions are what make measurable results, and we’re here to help you get them!
