A structured and content-rich curriculum that get you to learn the basics of the language such as welcome notes and greetings, numbering, family members, clothings and daily phrases. Gramatical elements are also taught as you start to learn Chinese language. Mandarin pronunciation, self-introduction, prepositions, sentences will be introduced in this course.
No prior knowledge of the language is required.
Outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Introduce yourself personally and ask about the names of others
- The pronunciation in Mandarin Chinese, give insights of Han Yu Pinyin through vocalising 4 basic tones and initial sounds.
- Reading and comprehending short conversation which is constructed using vocabularies learnt in the chapters.
- The preposition, opposites and adjectives in Mandarin Chinese.
- Learn more than 100 vocabularies that used in daily life such as body parts, transportation, colours, foods, and phrases used in daily conversation.
- Able to engage communicate in common and basic conversation with others in Mandarin Chinese.
