A poorly planned advocacy effort can do more harm than good. It can negatively impact the communities you aim to support and set back your cause. Advocacy is a key component of relief, development and humanitarian work. And it can also be our core approach when we want to:
- Address unmet needs in the target community
- Reverse or correct a situation
- Prevent the loss of a valued asset or program
- Change public opinion
I’m Neil Kendrick, and for more than 25 years I’ve trained relief, development, humanitarian and community practitioners worldwide on how to get better results for their target communities.
If you are a relief, development or humanitarian worker – or part of a group that wants to improve the situation for your community – this course is for you. I designed this course for people who to take their passion for justice to bring about positive social change.
