Welcome to the employability course!
The purpose of this course it to provide individuals with the understanding, knowledge and skills they require to improve their overall employability, whether they are employed or unemployed.
Individuals experience shortfalls while undergoing the employment process regardless of the degrees or amount of experience they have and their ability to navigate this process is the biggest contributing factor to them successfully landing the job they want. An improved level of employability will contribute to greater levels of success in becoming employed.
The course has relevant and practical exercises and resources which can be used alongside your CV creation, applications for jobs and when practicing and preparing for interviews.
Employability is a life-long skill to be learnt and refined.
This course is for:
- Graduates entering the job market for the first time
- Unemployed individuals seeking employment
- employed individuals who are looking for a career change or move
This course consists of 7 modules covering all elements involved in becoming employed.
The course covers what employability is and zooms in on 8 of the most common employability skills. It provides a holistic overview of the recruitment process, starting from the first stages of applying for a job, up until the final stages of getting the job. The course covers job hunting, CV design, interviews, other tasks involved in the recruitment process which can be expected from potential employers and how COVID has changed this process and how to overcome the changes. Finally, the course covers how to hone in on and develop, improve and practice the 8 employability skills previously mentioned.
