In this course I will share some ideas to get you started in getting stronger with the parallel bars. We will be looking at leg raises to strengthen our abs in lesson one with modifications for different levels such as where you can hold your legs out for longer periods of time if you are more advanced or for a simpler version you can just raise your legs for a short period of time and put your feet back down. Next we will do a simple version of dips to strengthen our arm muscles. I will show many different versions such as just going down slowly to using a resistance band to get a deeper dip as well as just doing the dip with one leg and the other resting on the resistance band. I will also perform pushups using one of the parallel bars to strengthen our arms. Lesson two I will show how to do pushups with the parallel bar on the floor and for the abs I will demonstrate mountain climbers exercise. In addition, I will demonstrate plank and leg lifting which is more low impact to strengthen our leg and core muscles. I will also show assisted squats using the parallel bars.
